Situated in the heart of the Minho near the entrance to the Peneda-Gerês National Park, a region of contrasting beauty, this granite-built house dates from the beginning of the 20th century. Approached via a shaded driveway, the house is noted for its fine collection of neo-classical glazed tiles.

After a period of decline, the farm passed to the current owners, Mário Gaspar Leite de Barros Pinto and his wife Maria da Graça Teixeira de Queiroz, granddaughter of the writer who had the house built.

The comfortable and well-decorated interiors have eight rooms to welcome guests seeking peace and quiet and well-being.

Outside, the well-kept gardens, the swimming pool and the proximity of the river that invites great fishing are all attractions that invite guests to relax and enjoy the rhythm of the countryside.

This whole region is rich in history, and tradition has it that it was here that the troops of Afonso VII of León met D. Afonso Henriques in 1140.
