SOLAR SAMPAIO E MELO - TRANCOSO

Solar Sampaio e Melo is an excellent manor house, located in the historic center of the medieval village of Trancoso. It started as a house belonging to a Jewish family who lived in Trancoso, many years ago, and was later transformed into a "Solar".

For years, this house went through several owners and, in 2011, a direct descendant of the family bought it again.

In the hands of the new owner, it is transformed into a guest house, with eight rooms, elegantly decorated, to receive its guests. The House has a swimming pool where guests can relax in tranquility.

The Solar was recently restored into “Turismo de Habitação”, opening to guests a unique infrastructure in Trancoso.

The guests can enjoy the peaceful and comfort of several sitting rooms, and games room, as the outdoor pool, and garden.
