Vila Alentejo, the county seat, Mora reflects perfectly the peace of mind of traditional Alentejo region.
County located in the basin of the Tagus, surrounded by forests of cork oaks, olive groves, pine forests, the region in contact with nature is absolute, and even the city's most densely forest south of the Tagus, and fifth in the country
With traces of human settlement since prehistoric times, lies in its immense area megalithic monuments and tapirs, many in good condition, as exemplified in the Chapel of St. Dinis, in Pavia, where, in the Middle Ages, has adapted a large tapir the chapel, and that is one of the landmarks of the region.
The cuisine of the region is very rich and traditional Alentejo, where bread is king, and delicacies such as lamb stew, migas asparagus and corn porridge with cod the better, not forgetting the typical soup rabbit, tomato sauce or soup purslane.
