Casas da Cerca are a tourism accommodation in a rural environment that evolved from the reconstruction of ancient buildings that due to their own specificities, either the way they are constructed, with natural materials, or because of the place where they are located, deserved to be reconstructed and adapted to the modern times for everybody’s enjoyment.

The Houses exist for approximately sixty years, in the property of Herdade de S. Nuno, by the River Mira, in the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park, in one of its most protected areas making it a part of a rural and natural environmental of excellence.

Casas da Cerca are constituted by three Houses, Casa da Adega, Casa do Tanque and Casa do Pomar. They are located in a confined and paradisiacal spot of the property, and are surrounded by nature where one can find among other, the arbutus tree, the cork tree (the typical tree of the Alentejo), and the olive tree.

In this place where you can hear the sounds of the birds, it is also possible sometimes to hear foxes and sense the wild boar. The River Mira is near, 15 to 20 minutes on foot, so you can go on a unique walk overflowed with beauty. At the river one can be delighted with a bath in salty waters.

The houses:

Casa do Tanque is a T0 with a maximum capacity of 3 people. It has a bedroom with a kitchenette and a complete WC. It also has a sofa-bed for one person and at request a cot can be provided. Casa do Tanque is equipped with linens, bed sheets and blankets, plates and kitchen devices, electric cooker, fridge and water heater. There is also a TV and a DVD player. Close to the house there is a tank (2,5mx2,5m), private of the house, and a cold and hot shower that can be used for refreshing bathes outside.

Casa da Adega is a T1 with a maximum capacity of 4 people. On the ground floor, there is the kitchen, a complete WC and the dining room. On the second floor, stays the bedroom and the living room. Besides the double bed in the bedroom, Casa da Adega is also equipped with a sofa-bed for two people and a single bed that can be put anywhere in the house. If requested a cot can be provided. Casa da Adega is equipped with linens, bed sheets and blankets, plates and kitchen devices, microwave, washing machine, stove, fridge and water heater. There is also a TV and a DVD player. Near the house, there is a tank (3,0x2,5m), private of the house, that can be used for refreshing bathes outside.

Casa do Pomar is a studio with a maximum capacity of 3 people. It has a bedroom with a kitchenette and a complete WC and it's adapted to handicapped people. It also has a sofa-bed for one person and at request a cot can be provided. Casa do Pomar is equipped with linens, bed sheets and blankets, plates and kitchen devices, electric cooker, fridge and water heater. There is also a TV and a DVD player. The heating of the waters is made by solar energy. Close to the house there is a plunge pool (4,00m x 2,00m), private of the house, and a cold and hot shower that can be used for refreshing bathes outside. The plunge pool can also be used as a jacuzzi.
